Langley Environmental Partners Society (LEPS) is a non-profit, partnership-driven organization founded in 1993, to achieve the mission of "protecting and restoring the natural environment through education, cooperation and action."
LEPS works with a diverse variety of partners to achieve common environmental goals focusing on:
Environmental education and awareness.
Inventory and mapping of local fisheries and wildlife resources.
Fisheries and wildlife habitat protection and restoration.
Watershed stewardship coordination and technical training.
LEPS operates primarily within the Township of Langley, B.C.

LEPS exists to facilitate and increase long-term environmental sustainability within the region by integrating education, cooperation and action into all aspects of its work. This is done by including its partners and the community in all activities and projects undertaken by the organization.

LEPS as a Model
LEPS has a favourable reputation due to the success of the relationships that have been built with its partners; especially the Township of Langley (ToL). The partnership between LEPS and the Township of Langley is seen as a model for all communities dealing with watershed issues. ToL has developed a positive reputation and a progressive muncipality on environmental issues by showing such strong support for LEPS and volunteer stewardship.
