Streamkeepers Training

"The life of every river sings its own song, but in most the song is long marred
 by the discords of misuse."

- - Aldo Leopold (1886-1948), Sand County Almanac

The LEPS Executive Director is a certified Streamkeepers Trainer, and offers training for community groups, teachers, students and individuals.

During this two-day course you will learn how to conduct an Introductory and Advanced Stream Survey, monitor water quality, sample aquatic benthic macro invertebrates (spineless bottom-dwelling water bugs) and identify juvenile salmon. This course provides a good experience for those interested in "stewarding" local streams.

Streamkeepers is a program of the Pacific Streamkeepers Federation.
